This course is accredited by Edexcel as a level 2 BTEC and is designed for personnel either working in or wanting to work within the patient transport service area of the ambulance service. It is open to both private and NHS personnel.

The course covers all the main areas required to undertake the role effectively and efficiently. The course lasts for five weeks and re-qualification is in line with Resuscitation Council and nationally laid down criteria.
